Description

These two cottages, originally one dwelling, date from the late 17th or early 18th century, with later additions. The external stonework is roughly squared and coursed, with a rendered rear wing. The roof is covered with Bridgwater patent triple angle clay tiles, with a finial to the east gable. The cottages are arranged in an 'L' shape, with two storeys and three bays. A 19th-century style entrance door is centrally located between the first and second bays, set within an opening having a cambered arch. The windows are modern steel casements set within altered openings, each with a concrete lintol. A string course runs along the north gable, at fireplace level. The cottages occupy a prominent position at the end of Home Farm Lane.
