Description

Harnesses is a semi-detached house located on Main Road, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is cut and squared, with Bridgwater patent interlocking clay tiles on the roof, which features stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and consists of two bays. It has small-pane casement windows with two lights, following an earlier pattern, set beneath large lias stone lintels. Between the bays, there is a boarded door in a simple matching opening. The interior has not been seen. Attached to the north side of Harnesses is another building known as Maddisons.
