Description

Lower Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse positioned at a right angle to the road, now functioning as a house. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and was remodeled and altered in the 19th century. The building features painted cob and rubblestone construction, with a 19th-century crested plain tile roof that is hipped to the left. There are brick stacks located at the rear left and on the ridge of the wing, as well as a rubblestone stack with a brick shaft at the rear right of the main block. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan with a long rear wing extending to the right along Moor Road. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The 19th-century windows are three-light, and there is a 19th-century door situated to the right of the center. The right return of the building has a five-window range with exposed rafter ends, featuring 20th-century windows and a door. The interior has not been inspected.
