Description

Melrose is a building located on the side of Tor Hill, facing south. It is probably from the early 19th century and has two storeys. The exterior is whitewashed, featuring a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and an eaves band. Pilasters flank the front of the building, and there are tall brick stacks. The first floor has three windows, which are sashes set in plain reveals. On the ground floor, there is one later splayed bay with three lights on each side. The central doorway is situated under a large trellised canopy and features a six-panel door.
