SCAMPSTON A 64 SE 87 SE (north side) 8/38 Milestone approximately 40 metres west of the gates to Scampston Hall GV II Milestone. Probably early C19. Sandstone with painted cast-iron plaque attached. Round-headed monolith with bordered rectangular panel inscribed: SCARBORO 17 MALTON 5 Included for historic interest.
