Description

This milestone, located approximately 200 metres east of Sherburn Lodge, is an early 19th-century or possibly earlier sandstone structure. It is a round-headed monolith that stands about 1 metre high. Although it is uninscribed, it marks the point that is 11 miles equidistant from Malton and Scarborough. The milestone is included in the register for its historic interest.
