Description
The Pigeon Pie is a public house that was originally two houses, dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of chalkstone, which is rendered and colour-washed, and features a pantile roof with brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. It has a two-storey, six-bay front. A 20th-century panelled door is located in a flat-roofed porch at the centre right. To the left end, there is a coach arch with double gates and a painted timber lintel above a blocked loft window. The remaining windows are four-pane sashes with painted stone sills, and the ground floor windows have painted wedge lintels. The left part of the building has a brick dentilled eaves course, while the right part features stepped eaves. The right gable is coped and has a shaped kneeler. There are stacks located at the end, left-of-centre, and centre-left.
