Description

This is a mid-18th century house with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. The main block is three storeys high and three bays wide, with an irregular arrangement of windows. To the right is a lower, one-bay, two-storey wing that projects forward. The main block features a half-glazed door set within a slim surround of reeded pilasters, a frieze, a dentilled cornice, and a pediment to the far right. The windows are mainly 4-pane sashes, except for two 2-light casements on the second floor at either end. On the ground floor are three sashes to the left of the door; the first floor has three widely spaced windows; and the second floor has casements to the left of a central sash. Most windows are set beneath segmental brick arches. The building has shaped kneelers, stone copings, an end stack to the left, and a stack along the ridge. The right wing has a 20th-century 4-light casement window that projects forward on the ground floor, and a 2-light 20th-century casement window on the first floor. This wing also has stone copings and tall end stacks to the right.
