Description

Primrose Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of coursed squared stone. It features a pantiled roof with stone copings and kneelers, one of which is broken, along with stone chimneys that have cornices. The building has a 2-storey central section with two and three windows, and irregular 1-storey, 2-bay side wings. The windows are Yorkshire sashes, with the lower ones missing their bars. The right-hand section of the cottage is rendered and whitewashed, featuring mid-20th century small paned casements and a roof made of concrete tiles. This section is included mainly as part of the group context.
