Description

Hollin's House is a cottage dated 1720, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is double-fronted and two storeys high. The exterior is of slobbered rubble with painted stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The entrance is framed by a chamfered surround and a lintel inscribed with the date; it has a six-panel door. Four windows have simple early 19th-century surrounds and thin slate hoodmoulds, with bowed 12-pane casements. To the right are the remains of blocked early 18th-century windows on each floor. Paired eaves modillions decorate the roofline. Left and right ridge stacks are present.
