3 and 4 Duke Street are a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from slobbered rubble with stone dressings and feature a slate roof.

No 3 is two storeys tall and has a double front. The central entrance has a plain surround and a panel door from around 1980. The windows have plain surrounds and consist of bowed casements with 12 panes. There is a ridge stack on the right-hand side at the junction with No 4.

No 4 has an entrance on the right with a plain surround and a door from around 1980. To the left, there is one window on each storey, both with plain surrounds and 16-pane sash windows. The ridge stack is shared with No 3.
