Description
Numbers 5A and 5B, located on the west side of Sandgate, are likely from the early 19th century. Number 5B is situated within a rear yard. The building is three storeys high, with the ground floor painted and the upper floors constructed of brick. It has two windows. The first floor windows have flush frames and double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set within flat stone arches. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The first floor features two doors consisting of six fielded panels, a stone arch, and a wooden architrave, each topped with a four-light rectangular fanlight. A plain door is positioned on the right side of the ground floor, alongside five later casement windows. The listed buildings in Sandgate are considered to form a group.
