Description

Two early 19th century houses are located on the west side of Hope Street. The houses are built of brick with stone dressings, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement, and each house has three bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and have wedge lintels. The central windows on the second floor are blind. The entrances in the first bay are round-headed, with windows above having architraves, reeded friezes and cornices. Number 64 retains a complete fanlight above its six-panel door, while Number 66 has a boarded door and ground floor windows that were replaced in 1984.
