Description
No. 7 Sandgate is a building with origins dating back to the early 18th century. It has two storeys and an attic, constructed from rendered brick. The roof is covered with pantiles and features one flat-topped dormer with a modern casement window. The front of the building has two windows with wood architraves, double-hung sashes, and glazing bars. There is an early 19th-century shop front that includes pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. To the right, there is a six-fielded-panel door with a lion knocker and an ornamental fanlight. Inside, the building contains a panelled room and additional panelling, as well as a solid panelled balustraded well staircase. The rear is made of brick and has a gabled design with two sash windows. The property also features a terrace at the water's edge. All the listed buildings in Sandgate are part of a group.
