Description
Church Lane Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed from squared rubble with a pantile roof. The building stands two storeys high with attics and features five bays. It has a two-room deep plan and a single-storey rear extension. The farmhouse has quoins and a doorway, added around 1982, located between the two left-hand windows. The original entrance, situated further to the right, has been blocked. There is also another blocked doorway that dates from a 19th-century division of the house. The first floor is adorned with 8-pane Yorkshire sash windows, with one 20th-century frame. The windows have flush wood frames and plain stone lintels. The gable coping is made of ashlar, complemented by shaped kneelers. The farmhouse has brick chimneys at both ends and a stack on the ridge above the original entrance.
