Description
Village Farm House is an early 19th-century farmhouse situated on Sleights Lane in Raiton with Newby. The building is constructed of squared rubble with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high with three windows on the first floor. The farmhouse has quoins. The central entrance features a four-panel door, partly glazed, surmounted by a rectangular fanlight. The door is set within a stone surround incorporating Doric pilasters and a plain entablature. The ground floor windows are 16-pane sashes set within flush wood architraves with incised lintels. The roof has an ashlar coping, and the ends of the building feature brick chimneys. A single-storey extension to the left is not of particular interest.
