Description
Westgate Guest House, located at No. 5 Westgate, is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys and attics constructed from coursed stone. It has a pyramidal Welsh slate roof with two dormers that have Dutch gables and finials. The heavy eaves are supported by paired narrow brackets. The façade includes three windows with keystones and no glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays with pilaster mullions. The entrance features a doorway with stone pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice, with a door of six fielded panels below a semi-circular fanlight. The building also has ashlar quoins and dressings. It is included as part of a group of buildings of architectural significance.
