Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building consisting of numbers 3 and 4 Westgate. The building is constructed of coursed stone with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with four windows on each floor. A band runs along the window cills. The first-floor windows have vermiculated keystones, with the central two windows sharing a single cill on tabs. The ground floor features two shallow canted bays. There are two centrally located round-headed doorways, each with a vermiculated keystone. The doors are of four fielded panels, topped with segmental fanlights. This building is part of a group that also includes numbers 1 to 22, 23A, 23B, 24 to 29, storage premises to the left of numbers 28 and 29, 30 to 37, 37A, and numbers 38 to 69. It also forms a group with the Wesleyan Day School.
