Description

The Wesleyan Day School, dated 1856, is a building in a simple Tudor Gothic style. It is constructed of coursed stone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The central block is taller and has three gables, along with a large segmental-headed window that contains hung sashes with glazing bars. An inscription on the building reads 'Wesleyan Day School 1856'. There are two projecting side wings, each with two 8-light mullion and transom windows on the front and segmental-headed hung sashes on the sides. The property also includes a low wall surrounding the playground, which is topped with iron standard railings. The Wesleyan Day School is part of a visual group with Nos 1 to 4 located opposite.
