Description

This is a school building from 1876, constructed of brick in English bond with a purple slate roof featuring bands of grey slates. It has a one-storey, L-shaped plan, with each wing containing two windows. To the right, there is a porch with a gabled roof and a plank door. The building features sash windows with cambered heads set in moulded brick surrounds. The polychromatic brickwork highlights the sill band and window heads. The roof is adorned with three gabled ventilators that have louvred fronts, and there is a bellcote to the right. This school is part of a group that includes the nearby church and clock tower.
