Description

Nos. 5, 6 and 7 Regent Parade form an early 19th century terrace of three buildings. They are three storeys high and have a fenestration pattern of 3 windows, 2 windows, and 3 windows respectively. The roof is slate-covered, and the exterior is constructed of grit stone ashlar. No. 6 has a wooden cornice. The windows are recessed sash windows; the first floor features splayed bay windows, with No. 6 having a segmental bowed window with a cornice. The ground floor of No. 6 has been altered and features fluted Ionic attached columns that support an entablature, which is now partially obscured by a fascia. No. 7 originally housed a ground floor shop; it retains modified pilasters carrying an entablature over the doorway, along with panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a panelled door. No. 6 has a lead rainwater head. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value.

Nos. 1 to 3, Nos. 5, 6 and 7, Nos. 9 to 13, and Nos. 15 to 19, along with Nos. 1A, 2A, 10A, and 11A, form a wider group.
