Description
Number 3 Merchant's Row is a building from the mid to late 18th century that has been altered. It stands three storeys tall with an attic and a basement. The ground floor is rendered, while the upper floors are made of red brick. The gable end slate roof features boxed eaves. Each floor has one window, although modern casements have been inserted. On the ground floor, to the right, there is a door with six fielded panels, accompanied by a plain semi-circular fanlight. The doorcase is decorated with reeded pilasters, an architrave, and a keyblock above the arch. There are plain wrought iron railings with urn standards surrounding the area. Number 3 forms part of a group with Nos 1 and 2.
