Description
No 2 Palace Hill Terrace is a mid-18th century building located on the north side of Eastborough. It is a three-storey structure made of red brick, reaching up to a parapet with moulded coping. The building features an old pantile roof at the gable end. Each floor has one central window, which consists of flush architrave framed sashes that are five panes wide, topped with flat stucco arches. To the right, there is a door with six fielded panels set in a plain doorcase, which has a frieze and cornice above. Inside, the front ground floor room showcases fielded panelling in two orders, a plain chimney piece with a moulded mantle, and sealed panelled shutters. The kitchen at the rear has exposed ceiling beams. Nos 1 to 7 Palace Hill Terrace, along with the steps, rails, and terrace, form a cohesive and attractive group.
