Description

This stand-pipe, located approximately 30 metres south of the almshouses on Leathley Lane, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and rises 40 centimetres above ground. The design features a fluted column topped with a finial shaped like a dog's or lion's head at the spout. Additionally, it has a roll moulding and a round fluted cover with a bud-finial.
