Description
This is a 19th-century sewer ventilation pipe located approximately 45 meters southeast of Parliament Fields Lido. Made of cast iron, it was manufactured by Engineers at 11 Great Battle Street. The pipe features a rectangular plinth and a fluted column with beaded moulding at the base. At the top, there is concentric moulding that supports an openwork lantern, which is topped with a gadrooned dome and a finial. This structure is an unusual survival of what was once a common feature.
