Description
Goole Bank Farm Barn, located approximately 8 metres north east of Goole Bank Farmhouse, is a stable and hayloft that has been converted into a barn. The barn dates back to 1737, as indicated on the north gable end, while the east side shows evidence of 19th-century rebuilding in two stages. It is constructed of red brick and features a swept pantile roof.
On the west side, there is one round arched entrance, a further blocked entrance, and three elliptical-arched window openings. A four-course band runs along the first floor, which has an 8-pane fixed light window. The barn has cogged eaves and pitching doors on the north gable, along with remains of tile pigeon nesting boxes on the south gable. The tumbled-in brickwork on the gable ends may be related to the heightening that occurred in the 19th century.
