Description

The Moorings is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick with wooden eaves, ashlar dressings, and a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has three windows on the first floor. Four steps lead to a half-glazed front door, which sits under a decorative radial fanlight. The door is framed by fluted Ionic pilasters with acanthus consoles supporting a cornice. The outer bays feature tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, and a sash window with glazing bars is located above the entrance. All windows have stone wedge lintels and cills. Chimneys are positioned at each end of the building.
