Description
Ouse View and Rose Dene is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the late 18th century, with an outshut added to the south gable in 1735. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond and features a pantile roof. It has a central staircase hall plan with the gable end facing the street. The house is two storeys high and has three windows on the first floor.
There are steps leading up to a mid-20th century glazed door, which is topped by an oblong fanlight with glazing bars. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows. A four-course band runs along the first floor. The first floor windows include unequal 9-pane sashes and a 2-pane casement, all set under blocked elliptical arches. The building has cogged eaves and chimney stacks located at the south gable end and the rear of the first bay. The north gable also features further blocked elliptical arches and a datestone.
