Description

Goole Bank Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of local narrow reddish-orange bricks and features a plain tile roof at the front, with a combination of plain and pantile roofing at the rear. The original baffle entry has been blocked, and the current direct entry is located between the fourth and fifth bays. The building has two storeys and six first-floor windows, along with a moulded plinth.

The front entrance consists of a 19th-century four-panel door topped by a radial fanlight. The windows are sash style with glazing bars throughout, and the ground floor windows are adorned with segmental moulded pediments. There is a smaller blocked window above the original entry, which is set under a cambered arch. The eaves cornice is dentilled, and there are two main ridge stacks, positioned between the second and third bays from the left, and another between the fourth and fifth bays. The right end features a Dutch gable.

At the rear, there is a two-storey stair turret with a blocked window on the ground floor and a sash window with glazing bars on the first floor. There are later additions on either side of the stair turret, with the left gable end projecting forward beyond the front facade. Inside, the farmhouse retains original panelling, beams, and plank cut stair balusters, and some doors may also be original.
