Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It features narrow red brick with a magnesian limestone plinth that has a brick capping, and the rear is finished with cement render. The building has two storeys and two first-floor windows. There is a blocked entry to the left under an elliptical arch, and a late 20th-century window to the right. A moulded band at the first floor level extends around the right gable, creating corbelled 'canopies' over the openings. The first-floor windows have been replaced in the late 20th century. The entrance is now located in the gable end, and the roof is swept with a central ridge stack.
