Description

Spa Wellhead is a wellhead dated 1666, constructed from millstone grit rubble and dressed stone. It stands about 1 metre tall and features a basket arch lintel at the entrance, which is dated and now almost illegible but is reputedly inscribed with 'RS IS'. There is a capstone above the lintel. The entrance originally had a wooden door, which is now missing.
