Description

9 Frenchgate is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall. It has a rough-rendered exterior and a Welsh slate roof featuring two brick chimney stacks. Each storey has one window, which is set in a moulded case with hung sashes and glazing bars. There is a small modern window added on the first floor. The ground floor includes a small 19th-century shop window with an entablature that extends over two doors, which have plain plastered architraves. The stall riser is tiled. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 27 (odd) and Nos 31 to 43 (odd).
