Description
This is a milepost dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, located approximately 120 metres east of the parish boundary with Studley Roger. It is made of cast iron and stands about 80 centimetres high. The milepost has a triangular shape with a sloping top and a hollow back. The inscriptions include 'SKIPTON 25' on the top face, 'PATELEY 10' with a pointing hand on the left face, and 'RIPON 1' with a pointing hand on the right face.
