Description
The barns behind Number 6 in Bishopton date from the 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed of pebble with hammer-dressed limestone quoins and dressings, topped with a pantiled roof. The structure features boarded double back doors and two tiers of slit windows. The roof is supported by principal rafters that rest on tie-beams, which in turn are supported by the walls. There is a two-storey extension to the east, which includes two stable doors, two boarded doors, one central loading door on the first floor, and two additional first floor openings.
