Description
This barn, located on the east side of the farmyard at Bruce House, is probably from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red-brown brick and features a pantile roof. The barn has five bays. On the south side, there is a central projecting cart-entry that is covered by a continuation of the roof slope and has double board doors. The south side also includes three tiers of slit vents, some of which are blocked, an inserted window on the right, and a dentilled eaves course on the table. The rear of the barn has an opposing cart-entry and additional slit vents. Inside, the principal rafter roof trusses are supported by braced queen posts and curved collars. The left return features slit vents in the gable. There are later attached farm buildings nearby, but they are not of special interest.
