Description

Stockhill Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of dark red brick in English garden wall bond and features a pantile roof. The building has a three-cell lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys high with three bays, although there are four openings on the first floor.

A four-panel door is set within a wooden surround that includes pilasters and a cornice, topped by a bracketed hood. To the right of the door is a bow window that dates from around 1980. On the left and far right, there are 20th-century two-light windows beneath flat brick arches. The first floor has a two-course band, a blind square recess above the door, and three 20th-century windows. The eaves are stepped and dentilled, and there are brick stacks on the ridge above the door and between the right-hand bays.

At the rear, there are traces of two bricked-up ground-floor windows on the left side. The right return features two 20th-century windows under flat brick arches on the ground floor, with two bricked-up openings above. The first floor and eaves bands continue from the front. The left return has a bricked-up doorway on the right, which may indicate a former end-entry plan.
