Description

Nos 30 and 30A in Newbiggin are mid-16th century buildings that stand three storeys tall, constructed from ashlar stone and topped with a stone slate roof. They feature rusticated quoins and a plinth, along with a moulded stone cornice. The facade includes three windows, with moulded surrounds on the two upper storeys that lack glazing bars. There is a band at the cills of the ground and first floors. The ground floor windows and the central door are framed in rusticated stone with keystones. The door itself consists of six moulded panels and has a three-paned rectangular fanlight above it, with a rendered stall riser below. Nos 24 to 30A form a group.
