Description
No. 26 Newbiggin is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of ashlar stone. It features a stone slate roof and a parapet. The façade includes four windows with moulded stone frames, hung sashes, and glazing bars. There is a band at the first-floor cill and cornice level. The ground floor has a canted bay window with three lights, also featuring hung sashes with glazing bars. The building has a small plinth and the entrance door consists of six fielded panels set in a moulded stone case, topped with a cornice supported by moulded stone brackets. Above the door is a four-light rectangular fanlight. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 24 to 30A (even).
