Nos 1-5 Arguments Yard are a row of five buildings with origins in the 18th century. The buildings are two storeys high. Number 1 is rendered, while the others are constructed of stone. The buildings contain five windows each. Nos 3, 4, and 5 have double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Nos 1 and 2 have 19th-century four-light windows, with sliding sashes and modern glazing on the first floor. Each building has five windows on the ground floor, and five plain doors. Nos 1-5 form a group with Nos 139 and 140 Church Street.
