Description

Brook House is a house dated 1859. It is constructed of dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building follows a central staircase plan and comprises two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a plain surround and a moulded hood, sheltering a seven-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above. There are two sash windows on the ground floor and three on the upper floor, all with plain surrounds and projecting sills. Three panels are positioned above the upper floor windows; the outer two contain shields depicting crossed halberds, and the central one is inscribed "S J M 1859". Chamfered quoins are present. Gable end ridge stacks rise from the roof.
