Description
Pan Well Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1670. It is constructed of rendered rubble with millstone grit dressings and features a stone slate roof. The entrance is located at the gable, with a plank door. The garden front has two storeys and two bays. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a two-light chamfered mullioned window, and to the right of the centre, a two-light flat faced mullioned window, along with a former right-hand chamfered fire window. The upper floor has two former two-light chamfered mullioned windows, with the left window having a lowered sill and both windows missing their mullions. The cottage has a mixture of casements and fixed lights, and features large gable end stacks on both the left and right sides. Inside, there are corbelled jambs to a fireplace dating from around 1800, and the roof has King block trusses from around 1670.
