Description

The gates and gate-piers of Kingsley House are late 18th century features located on the west side of Kirkgate in Middleham. They consist of carriage-drive gates made of wrought iron and are complemented by ashlar stonework. The gate-piers are rock-faced and rusticated, featuring pilasters that create a rebate, along with a cornice and torus caps. The side piers are designed in the same style. The wrought-iron gates are adorned with pointed finials.
