Description

Brief House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a Welsh slate roof and has two storeys and three bays. The central bay projects slightly and features a three-Gothic-panel board and studded door set within a plain ashlar surround, topped with a plain cornice. Above the door is a square ashlar panel with a raised motif. The windows are two-light casements with Gothic glazing, projecting sills, and sill-like lintels. A string-course runs along the building, and the roof has ashlar copings in the form of Dutch gables, with paired round chimneys at each end.
