Description
Exelby Lodge Cottage and Lodge Cottage are two houses that were originally four cottages, built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed of red brick and topped with modern pantiles. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with a continuous outshut at the rear. There is a chamfered plinth, and the doors between the first and second bays, as well as between the third and fourth bays, are 20th-century panel doors. All the windows are 20th-century casements. The eaves are dentilled, and there are shaped kneelers with moulded stone coping. The structure features an end stack to the left and two ridge stacks. This building is included for its group value.
