Description

Lilac Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1830, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick with yellow brick and ashlar dressings. The roof is slate, with overhanging eaves and terracotta ridge tiles, and features two pairs of octagonal yellow brick gable stacks. The two-storey south-west front, facing the street, has a central gabled ashlar door surround with a chamfered four-centred arch, containing a panelled door. To either side are single, two-light chamfered mullion windows with ashlar hood moulds and octagonal lattice casements. Above are two similar windows.
