Description
Clapham Lodge is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on Leeming Lane in Newton. The building is constructed of brick and has a cement-rendered finish, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features four bays across the front and two bays deep. The entrance consists of a glazed door with an overlight positioned between the first and second bays. All windows are sash style, equipped with glazing bars and stone cills. The roof is hipped and includes three ridge stacks. On the left side of the building, there are two blind windows with stone cills, while the right side showcases a full-height canted bay window. This bay window has a central sash with glazing bars and 8-pane sashes on each side for both floors.
