Description
The Hall is a house built in the late 18th century. It features red brick and stone construction, with a rendered finish and a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and nine bays, presenting a symmetrical facade. At the base, there is a stone plinth. On either side of the central three bays, there are half-glazed doors with overlights; the left door has Chinese Chippendale-style glazing bars in its overlight. The doors are framed by moulded stone surrounds that include consoles and cornices. The left door also has a 19th-century wooden porch with a latticed design at the front. The remaining bays are fitted with sash windows that have glazing bars. The central three bays form a canted bay that rises about half a metre above the cornice level. On the first floor, the outer three bays on each side feature unequally-hung nine-pane sashes, while the central three bays have round-arched sashes with glazing bars. All windows are equipped with stone sills. The eaves are stepped, and the roof is hipped, with the central three bays also hipped. There are three ridge stacks on the roof.
