Description
Theakston Lodge is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical elevation with four bays. It has a cement plinth and a central six-panel door set within a stone Doric surround that includes half columns, a frieze, a dentilled cornice, and a pediment. Within the pediment, there is a low relief urn with a swag. The ground floor has a continuous stone sill, and all windows are two-pane sashes with stone flat arches that include voussoirs and keystones. The first-floor windows also have stone sills. The eaves are stepped, and there are plain kneelers with stone coping, along with brick end stacks.
