Description

The building is a laundry located 10 metres north of Birdsall House, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a Westmorland slate roof and is a single-storey structure featuring a symmetrical facade with 9 bays. The central window opening is blocked and is flanked by 6-panel doors with overlights. To the left, there are boarded window openings, while to the right, one window opening is boarded and two have 6-pane sashes. The building has massive keyed lintels throughout and a hipped roof. It is included for its group value with Birdsall House.
