Description
Roundhill Farmhouse and attached farm buildings date from 1773, with some early 19th-century alterations and additions. The structure is built of coursed stone with ashlar dressings and has stone and Welsh slate hipped roofs, featuring quoins and a single white brick stack.
The south front of the farmhouse has an off-centre doorway with an ashlar surround, flanked by former 3-light flush mullion windows. To the left is another doorway with an ashlar surround, followed by an inserted door. Above, there are three former glazing bar sashes in flush ashlar surrounds. The rear of the farmhouse includes three ground floor windows, an off-centre stair window, and two upper windows.
Attached to the west is a barn under the same roof, which has a single cart entrance with a segment head, featuring a keystone inscribed with the year 1773. The rear of the barn has a doorway and a loft opening above it. To the west of the barn are three single-storey ranges surrounding a courtyard, with various doorways and windows. The outer facades include two doorways to the north, four windows to the west, and two windows to the south.
South of the farmhouse, linked by a wall, is another two-storey farm building with a stone slate hipped roof and quoins. The south facade has a cart entrance and a loft opening above, while the east front features three upper loft openings. The west facade has an off-centre doorway with a flat hood supported by a bracketed pilaster to the left, and to the right, there is an external stone staircase leading to two loft doorways.
Inside the farmhouse, there is a single ashlar fireplace with a bracketed surround.
